November News

A Coffee Morning to support St Helen’s Church will be held in the Mackintosh Room at the Great Hospital on Saturday 5th November 2011,  from 10.00am to 11.30 am. Stalls, raffle prizes and good fellowship- all welcome.

There will be a service on All Souls Day, 2nd November at 3.00 pm to commemorate the faithful departed. The service is an opportunity to come together to remember those who have died, however long ago, in a quiet and thought ful way. The simple service will consist of readings and prayers and an act of remembrance and everyone is welcome.

On 11th November at 10.55 am there will be a short act of remebrance at the flagpole on St Helen’s Green, to remember those who have died in wars and conflicts and to remember those who still suffer the effects of war.

There will be a Remembrance Day service at 10.30 am on Sunday 13th November in the context of Morning Prayer.
